Beyond the quietness Silentude delivers going in and out of the woods, its muffling attribute is also crucial for those sunup to sundown sits – the long grinds during the midseason rut. Stretching, reaching for the binocs, just turning – every twitch potentially produces unwanted noise. Silentude dampens the sound of your overall presence.
Silentude’s universal comfort caters to full days camped in a blind, as well as running and gunning from spot to spot. Its generous fleece serves to retain heat, but if layering is in order, Silentude’s smooth inner fleece makes adding underneath effortless.
Additionally, ScentLok’s advanced Precip-X™ treatment makes Silentude highly water and stain resistant. Liquids like dew, blood, and morning mists bead up and roll off rather than soak in, keeping you drier in the field.
ScentLok’s signature scent-thief Carbon Alloy® is part of the package as well. Carbon Alloy combines treated carbon, activated carbon, and zeolite to absorb odors emitted by your body. Carbon Alloy utilizes natural coconut shell carbon, as it has the largest internal surface area of any carbon on earth. This massive surface area promotes the adsorption of the broadest scent molecule range. It innately secures these molecules and holds them until you reactivate your gear in a household dryer.
Fit, finish, and function are likewise integral to Silentude. The jacket features tapered sleeves with a spandex inner cuff insert for superior fit through the arms and wrist. Articulated elbows and underarm side panels mirror the human form while also fostering movement. Articulation is a design feature where the fabric at the elbow is shaped and seamed to match the natural bend of the arm. The underarm fabric panel provides extra material for extending and raising your arms, like when scaling a tree.
A quadrant of zippered pockets – two chest, two waist – maintain the essentials while a concealed safety harness port is at the ready to accommodate a safe sit. Hunters will also appreciate loops sewn into the chest pockets for attaching a rangefinder.
