Beyond its intrinsic warmth and comfort, the BE:1 Insulated hat is also windproof and waterproof, taking cues from the performance of a hood. “It was crucial for us to make the hat windproof and waterproof,” said Steve. “Our DryLok® waterproof and windproof membrane handles those often encountered drizzles and nasty winds you get late in the hunting season.” ScentLok’s DryLok® waterproof and windproof membrane is a signature technology in several current parkas, jackets, bibs, and pants.
ScentLok included another cornerstone technology in the new BE:1 Insulated Hat: Carbon Alloy®. The proprietary technology offers continuous adsorption of odors by combining treated carbon, activated carbon, and zeolite to adsorb odors emitted by your body.
Flanking the inside of the DryLok waterproof membrane is an ultra-warm long nap fleece lining. Outside, you’ll find a premium, smooth and comfortable polyester outer fabric.
Structurally, a paneled design yields a secure fit, while the BE:1 Insulated Hat’s structured brim provides shade for improved field vision and an added defense against precipitation.
All said, its most memorable feature is the neck coverage. The extended neck protection does what most hunting hats can’t – shield your neck from cold winds.
