October First! The Season Begins (UPDATED!)
Old News October 1st, 2008Well folks that time has come again. All the scouting, treestand placement, food plot management and trail cam downloads have culminated into your final location choice for opening day. Here in Michigan, October 1st is a virtual holiday in many circles, and as usual, the Scent-Lok team will be out en-force.
With the large numbers of hunters entering the woods this year, we just want to share our company motto:
Be Safe, Practice Good Conservation, Always leave it Better than You Found It! Â
The hunting community is filled with great people who do great things for our natural resources and these three simple statements should echo inside everyone’s head while in the field.  Too many hunters are injured year after year and often disabled for life. Wear that safety harness! Practice, practice, practice to make sure of a clean kill. And not only pick up any trash that you may generate, but help keep the woods clean by hauling out anything that you can dispose of as well.
We challenge every hunter to take pride in their hunting ground, keep it safe and to make it better for future generations to enjoy the excitement we have felt while at full draw on a calm, quite morning.
With this challenge in mind, we would like to hear how you’ve carried out these practices in the woods this year. Please submit your story to info@scentlok.com (please include great photos of you and your trophy) for submission. We will publish the best ones and if yours is chosen, you can receive a free Scent-Lok BaseSlayers suit!
Good luck on a great season! We are excited to hear your stories.
Get close, go undetected.
The Scent-Lok Team

**Update**
We’ve been busy getting our 2009 product line ready, but we’ve been getting tons of submissions! Keep them coming!
This is my 16 year old Dustin Reggin, he shot this buck 9-17-08 on one of the farms we hunt in SE Minnesota today, it was a 35 yard shot the buck went down 53 yards later. The buck scores low 140′s. Thanks to all the factories for helping in his success with the great products you provide. Plus thanks for helping me be a proud Dad.

I love your products, but being 6’3″ and slim, it seems your large sizes fit perfect except for the sleeve length, and the XL fits my sleeve length, but is way too big for my body. Are you ever going to make a tall version of your product?? Surely I can’t be the only one that has asked…..
