2009 Posse Bash with Ralph and Vicki Cianciarulo!
Old News July 28th, 2009
Redneck Ralph and Vicki at the 2009 Posse Bash Redneck Luau.
When you think about truly good people, what attributes come to mind? For me it’s someone that says good morning and means it, someone that looks you in the eye when you are having a conversation with them, someone that you can tell puts their heart and soul into their family and what they do. After this weekend, I can tell you with completely certainty that Ralph and Vicki Cianciarulo are good people.
After spending the weekend getting to know Ralph, Vicki and the Posse in western Illinois, it is easy to see why they are one of Americas favorite hunting couples. Their Posse is staffed with men and women with the same mentality and morals that Ralph and Vicki share. Needless to say I couldn’t think of a better group to spend a weekend with.
When Mike Wiseman (Customer Support Manager here at Scent-Lok Technologies) and I arrived Friday afternoon at the lodge Ralph and Vicki rented, we were greeted at the door of the conference room by the bright eyed, smiling and somewhat vertically challenged man that is Ralph Cianciarulo. After saying hello we spent the rest of the evening watching other sponsors presentations and chatting with the Posse members.
When the evening ended we were told by Vicki Cianciarulo that Mike and I can follow her to where we would be staying for the weekend. After a 20 minute drive through Gods country of rolling Illinois hills, cornfields and a lightning show that we later all agreed was the most amazing any of us had ever seen, we arrived at a fairly good sized single story home at the end of a dead end dirt road. Come to find out Mike and I would be spending the weekend at Ralph and Vicki’s home…yes that’s right…the house that Ralph and Vicki Cianciarulo actually live in! You could say we were a little excited. The house was extremely homey. It was very nice, but had simplicity to it. Oh and there was a little added uniqueness by dozens of the biggest bucks, bulls, bears and African game that one could imagine! After sitting up chatting and trading hunting stories for a while, we turned in for the night.

The Posse
Saturday morning was relaxing with a nice spread of coffee and muffins at Ralph and Vicki’s house, then it was off to the lodge for the bulk of the sponsors presentations. I was pleased to see that all of the sponsors put a lot of effort into informing and showing the Posse the new products for this year and the proper way to use and show them on film. We presented our products and how activated carbon works through a very well designed power point. The Posse responded very well to our presentation. Many of them asked very good questions about proper care and storage of Scent-Lok products, which to me was awesome because proper care and storage of our products is the heart and soul of what makes Scent-Lok Technology work. After our presentation everyone got together for an awesome buffet of cold cut sandwiches, salads, chips and cookies.
After a relaxing lunch with the Posse members, we watched the rest of the sponsors present for the remainder of the afternoon. Then it was time to let loose and have fun at the 2009 Posse Bash Redneck Luau. This party was something else. It was held in Ralph’s mothers barn down the road from Ralph and Vicki’s home and decorated to the max. Everyone got dressed up like Hawaiian rednecks, everything from fake buck teeth and grass skirts to ripped up sleeveless Hawaiian shirts smeared with mud. Words really don’t do it justice.
After everyone was ready we all went to the barn for a hog roast. After one of the best hog roasts I have ever experienced and an all out peanut fight with the bowls of peanuts on each table, it was time to break out the projector and hand out Posse awards from the 2008 season. Some of the awards given were best hunter and cameraman argument, best miss and best quality footage just to name a few. All the sponsors were also honored to receive a sponsors appreciation plaque.

Everyone entering the barn for the bash!
As the evening winded down it was clear that everyone was having a blast and great relationships were being made. After heading back down the road to Ralph and Vicki’s house, it didn’t take long after hitting the pillow for us to be sound asleep after two long amazing days.
It was an honor and a privilege to get to know Ralph, Vicki and the Posse on a personal level and stay in Ralph and Vicki’s home. They are truly a class act with a mission of bringing real, honest and exciting hunts to you the viewers. Without a doubt, a group of amazing and all around good people.
GET CLOSE, GO UNDETECTED!

I never blog, heck I don’t even know how to blog; but I felt compelled to comment on this article! I have watched Ralph and Vicki from the very first time that I saw them on an outdoor program. You can tell for a certainty that they love one another. I could never picture one without the other. They love their son. They love GOD, and they are not afraid to give credit where it is due. You know they truly enjoy what they do. It is a lot of fun, but they work hard to bring the viewers a quality program. I love their shows and enjoy watching the Posse. It is good to see family values and hunter ethics passed along in a format that reaches so many poeple. Hunters and non-hunters alike can relate to the honesty of it all. They are a class act. I thank you for what you do, and wish you many more years of success.
